block heater dimention

Anybody know offhand what the frost plug size is, I want to install a block heater.

Jimmy..... ...the domed "Welch" coreplug is listed in my N-Ford MPC as 1-3/16". UNFORTUNATELY, there is NO ROOM for the heating element of a block heater inside the block.

Recommend you seriously consider magnetic block heater for the castiron oilpan and the castiron intake manifold. You can also gitt heater pad for yer cold battery. Warm batterys really output; its a chemical reaction thing. Don't even think about a heated oil dipstick. I don't like radiator hose heaters because most of the heat excapes backout the radiator.

I have good luck with a head bolt heater in my 9N. Not sure if you can still get them tho.
