It's not a kingpin, which is the common word for a part on the front wheel assembly. It's an axle pivot pin. No special tools needed, but if the axle pin is worn badly, like most are, get prepared to take off the front axle assembly so you can push (drive)the pin out from the back. And that makes it a bigger job because of the radiator, and other parts that have to be moved. Install the new bushing, split top up, put it back together, no grease or oil. My $.02

TN Man, I didn't notice your reply on our recommended wet compression tests and Dell's notion of a possible gasket leak between the 3 and 4th cylinders. How is your engine? Are you going to do a partial overhaul? Just curious, Darrell.

Andy,

I still need to do a wet compression check. just have not had the time or energy to do one. I work a 12 hour shift and I've been pulling some overtime as well. Hopefully Monday & Tuesday I'll get a chance. I'm gonna try my best to steer clear of any rebuilding. Will keep you posted.

Darrell
