Anyone have a reccommendation what paint to use on the inside of the tractor? It will have to hold up to submersion and splashing of the hydraulic oil.

Thanks

Some recommend a red spray insulating coating like Glyptol. Most electric supply houses carry it, as well as WW Grainger.

Was the whole inside painted, or are you talking about just the tranny cover?

Mainly I want to touch up the inside of the lift cover and lift cylinder. But I would like to also touch up the axle housing and ring gear.

I have just started a tear down on my 48 8N and intend to paint the inside of my engine with Glyptol, I once had a 67 Jeep 327 and had to change a hydrolic lifter. When I took the intake off i found the inside painted with Glyptol and it was so clean you could almost eat off of it. We used it in the plant to paint motor windings etc. Also used to paint control room floors It is a non electrical conductor and grease and oil will not stick to it.
