hi guys, my faithful jubilee and i put in a day with the brush hog, it was normal pasture /orchard type ground, and for the first time the jubs engine is sputtering on the rough ground, im not seeing smoke, like it was sloshing gas out of the carb bowl and flooding, could it be leaning out? any ideas, i dont want to turn any screws before posting here, she might decide not to run at all just to agravate me, thaks, ericlb

Eric..... ....after spending a day brushhoggin' yer tractor starts surging (hop-a-long?) BIG NEWS!!! yer outta fuel. The dregs (remains) are sloshin' as you bounce over yer pasture humps, ain'chur carb. Tractors use more GAS when working and brushhoggin' is WORK..... ..Dell

Its hard to say exactly whats wrong from your description, but I would first check your fuel sediment bowl for rust etc. Pull the line off the carb and see if you are getting a good flow of fuel to the carb. Also the float in the carb may be sticking causing a flooded condition. You might want to check all your electrical connections just to be sure its not something as simple as a loose wire somewhere. The next time it starts to sputter try closing the choke a little at a time and see if it starts running better or worse. HTH..... ..... ....BG
