I jumped started it from a marine battery not hooked up to anything else. Then for the next 3 or 4 times it cranked fast and started fine. So I use it, turn off the key and 10 minutes later I go to start it and nothing. Battery checks out but starter doesn't crank or make any sound. Any help appreciated. Thanks

Is it possible that the battery is bad?

Do the cleaning the other poster sugested.. if it doesn't turn over.. tap the starter with a wrench or hammer. if this makes it turn over... time for starter or solenoid work.

One should always take pliers and jump across the solinoid to determine if the battery is low or bad.
WORD OF CAUTION
Jumping across the solinoid circumvents all starter saftey switches (blade seat etc)

check and clean the battery connections (especially both ends of the ground ), and insure their is good clean contact between the solinoid and the chasis.
