Does anyone know where I can find a log splitter for the 9N?

Tom, have you considered just getting a splitter with gasoline engine to drive the hydraulics? They are not as expensive as PTO-driven ones, and you can hitch em to your truck and take them across the state to use them if you need to. You can still hitch em to your tractor drawbar and take them with your tractor when needed, too. It seems to me that they are more versatile unless you just know that you will never need to take it very far off your property.

Just a thought..... ..Ed

Northern has one in their master catalogue for $429 without pump

running it off the tractor hydralics is going to result in cycle times you measure with a calander rather than a watch

whatever you buy make sure it has a PTO shaft guard so you don't become a statistic

your mileage may vary

Brave Industries has a pto drive 3pt splitter.

Don't know how well it works, but I'm always leary of anything with a pto attachment. Had a neighbor that wore baggy old sweatshirts that got caught up in a pto back when I was a kid. He died shortly after his arms were ripped off.

I took a look at the one linked to by Brave Ind. for the price I think you would do better to buy a regular log splitter, the cost would be a bit less and it would be more versatil...you could pull it with your truck and it's easier to move for storage since it's on wheels... also seems safer since there is no PTO. I fave a 20 ton horiz/vert one that I paid $899 for about 3 years ago it works great in all ways.

I would reccommend wearing safety glasses with one of these, there can be some nasty bits of fly wood at times

Good Luck.
