Yup, sure is. That's my sister driving it about 6 months before I started restoring it. She's 4 years younger than I am and that was her first time driving a tractor. That picture was taken at my grandparents house (after they had passed away) and we were cleaning up yard debris from a storm.

I wish my grandparents could have seen her driving the tractor with the trailer behind her helping us all out. She still talks (read brags) about being able to drive a tractor now :-P I have some more "before" pictures also, but i'll wait to post them until after I get the whole thing done. All that's left now is the hood and front sheet metal components, air cleaner, and 3 point hitch linkage parts. I can hardly wait!

It"s the generator cutout for the one wire 6V generator. The forerunner of the voltage regulator found on the 8N"s.

Ding ding ding! We have a winner...yeah, that's the old cutout that everybody refers to. You can now order a complete voltage regulator that is stealthily packed inside of the original cutout housing so you have VR performance but the original look. It even has a ford script on it! Sadly, I did not go that route and just purchased the plain old run-of-the-mill cutout, but so far, so good. NO problems with charging or stuck contacts. Maybe if it ever goes out, i'll replace it with the stealth VR.

Jeb..... ....I'm amazed at you, a non-painted sumptin on yer very nicely painted tractor. (grin)..... ..Dell

PS..... .I hope you have a "good" ground (star washer?) thru the paint so you don't start having charge problems with your roundcan cut-out relay.

Yeah, i have tested all electrical connections and made sure that they were good. I even remembered to polarize every time I take the battery out....I knew you would be so proud of me! I'm at the point now where I'm putting on the finishing touches like decals and the patent data plate. I love doing stuff like that. It's the little accents that make the tractor just stand out and really come back to life.
