Old brought up a good point. I did change the plug wires recently. I connected the 1 to to first plug (by the fan) and continued on towards the battery. Was this right? or is it 1243.
Thanks again
Brent

Frazier..... ...firing order for the 4-nipple frontmount distributor 1,2,4,3 CCW. THATS: sparkie #1 connected to nipple #1 at 10 o'clock
sparkie #2 connected to nipple #2 at 8 o'clock
simple, eh, now PAY ATTENTION 'cuz it gitts tricky here
sparkie #4 connected to nipple #3 at 4 o'clock
sparkie #3 connected to nipple #4 at 2 o'clock
therefore firing order 1,2,4,3 CCW, isn't that amazing? HTH..... .....Dell

The firing order IS 1243, but that is taken into account, with the numbering of the distributor cap. The numbers marked on the cap are in the sequence 1243, going CCW, starting at number 1.

You put the wire from each plug in the cap nipple with the corresponding number, and they will be in correct firing order.
