Sorry to be ignorant but what do you use this for? Also, what part of the country is this?

It is a Combination Trailer Hitch for a regular Trailer and the Goose Neck type. Only used for moving them around on your farm. It also has a set of forks that slide in along with a Boom Pole all in one. You do not leave all those things in the hitch, only what you need to use. I live in Eastern Washington in what they call the "Desert Steppe Area" very dry most of the year. Mark H.

There are 2- 7/16 grade 8 bolts with grade 8 washers. The head of the bolt goes thru the washer and chain then when you tigten up the nut it pulls the sholder into the steel till the threads bottom out. This way it is smooth steel holding it not the threaded section. This is not the method for my new one it is 2 X 1/4 inch angel iron instead of chain. Mark H.

That is a nice piece of work. Looks real handy. I would buy one of those if such was available.
