I am just about finished rebuilding a Jubilee. I am ready to paint the hood and have seen ads and some photos that show the Ford logo on the hood and fenders as on the 8N. However, my Jubilee has the original hood (the 1953 sales sticker is still attached to the inside of the hood), and the hood does not have the pressed Ford logo on the hood or fenders like a late 8N. Did the Jubilee have the Ford logo on the hood and fenders? Thanks.

Jub 24240 has both hood and fender script. My side distributor 8N Industrial power unit did not have script.

I've got a Golden Jubilee Serial # NAA 48891
and it has both the fenders and hood with the ford logo stamped into the sheet metal. Hope
this helps out. So far all the Jubilee's I've
seen have the ford logo stamped in both the rear fenders and hood.

Michael, Very interesting. I also have a Jub #42917 without the embossed logo on the hood although the gray paint appears to be original with the original red painted logo. I suspect mine may possibly have some sheetmetal from a later series. The grill on mine has the elongated crank hole and has been painted. The dog legs and front piece on mine are all bolted onto the hood sides. The fenders do have the embossed logo. I have owned this Jub for over 20 years. fwiw, ray

Hmmmmm.... Now thats interesting.
My Jube has the fender script, but nothing on the hood. The fender script is not even red. It appears to be original and un-molested, but who knows? The underhood sticker is there too.

All the Jube's I've seen had the "Ford" script on the hood sides and fenders.

The script is present on my grandfather's Jube(purchased new).

Wow! What a prompt response. The photo convinced me. I will paint on the Ford logos. My fenders are not original, I think, because there is no stamped Ford logo. I have the stencil kit, however. Thanks for all the interesting information.

Do you have the correct stencil? Is your sheet metal bolted together or welded? ray

My lower panels look like they were at one time spot welded, but now they are bolted. My stencil kit is for an 8N. Is there a difference?

Hope you find this but there is a difference. The 8N logo is a shorter script. IMO, not as pretty as that of the NAA and some later. I would check with NComplete. ray

Thanks for the info. I checked with NComplete for the logo script. They did not have it. I got it from CT Farm, but it was for an 8N. That is the best I could do. Any other suggestions?
