My three point will intermittently work perfectly then instantly stop lifting except with high RPM, it will just as quickly start working again, any ideas?

One possibility is a sticking control valve in the pump. That is what shifts/moves when you raise and lower your quadrant control lever on the right side of the tractor.

When is the last time you changed the hydraulic fluid in the sump? If it has been a while there is probably sludge and sediment in the bottom of the hydraulic compartment contributing the sticking control valve. HTH. Rick H. GA.
