Came into a 14' JD VB grain drill. Will the 8N pull a drill that large?

Oh yeah.....I almost forgot..... turned out when we got our 14' grain drill, the problem was NOT the tractor! It was the six 12' gates we had to go through to get from the house to the field!!

I don't see why not. I use both my 2N and my 8N to pull a Case 14' seed drill to plant oats, wheat, and sudan hay....and sometimes a combination of oats, wheat, and elbon rye for the deer. Its a rubber tired, 14' drill with front seed bin and rear fertilizer bin. I never use the fertilizer bin since I prefer to over top with either liquid or time release solids depending on if and when it rains. But the N's work great for drilling seed being as how they are a tad long legged. Incidently....I also use a chain harrow turned upside down as a drag behind the drill and even this doesn;t present a problem to the N.

We pulled one about that large with our 8N when I was a kid. Can't remember any problems. It had two hoppers; right and left side. As best I remember each hopper was about 6' wide. I remember we planted maise and vetch with it. Can't remember what else.
