If anybody's interested see if you can tell me about the plow I posted in the "Help Identify" gallery. I can't remember how to post it here.

Is that beam cut off at the edge of the picture or is that a factory end? I can se no place for a coulter? Looks like a Ferguson mast and cross bar put on a beam from and old pull type plow. a few more pictures could identify it.

I agree; looks like a ferguson 3-point on an old JD horse-drawn plow frame. I didn't think about that until it was mentioned above. The fact that the plow frame starts to drop down at the front is very indicative of a horse-drown or very early trip plow and gives it away.

The end of the beam looks like it was cut off by a torch. It has a coulter w/ mounting bracket that was clamped to the beam(the bearings were broken ,so I removed it). Also, I removed a tail wheel assembly from the rear(it had "JD" cast in the mounting bracket).

Do you know if Ferguson made conversion kits for old pull-type plows?

I"ll try to post another pic.

Looks like I hit it, I thought it was a beam from some pull type plow, so from what you are saying it was from a J D no. 51 single bottom pull type or from the mounted plow for a L - LA or H John deere and as far as I know ferguson did not make a conversion kit but did sell the parts as repairs, years ago a neighbor did that with J D 2 bottoms for his Ferguson 40 tractors, you will need to replace that coulter and wheel for it to work corectly
