What is the resistance of a 2N coil either 9n12024 or the 9N12024-12v ?
I am thinking of wiring up a temporary coil using my my dead coils connectors (as described in some posts here) and would like to buy a coil with compatible specs.

I know some of you dont recommmend this fix, but the local NH dealer says it will take a week to get a coil. I dont have a week to spare.
Any tips on the "dummy coil" attachment?

why not call any of the suppliers that support this board and get a price on overnight delivery--either UPS blue lable or Fedex. Might be close to over the counter at Ford and you have it on the porch tomorrow if you call early. also easier than building what you propose.

just a thought

Bert, Any coil used on a 8 cyl engine will be a "dead ringer" for your N (measures -.7...1.0 ohm) and if your 6V = no ballast. I assume your drilling an old front mount and installing a can, be sure to cut the pigtail off flush and
drill up into the wire for ~ 1/2".

Hope this Helps,
