I just got in a set of 12.4 X 28 that were supposed to be 8 ply from Tucker Tires on eBay. I cannot see anywhere on the tire that confirms this - It is Farm King brand made in India if that means anything. Not questioning their integrity, I am just leary of buying things through the Internet sight unseen in this day and age.

TIA,
Dan

I was considering Tucker myself. Just for fun I stopped at the GY dealer this Firday which I have never bought from and was shown Kelly private label 11-28's for 130 each, US made, tubes extra. I don't need wheels. I'm guessing Tucker will sell just tires but then who mounts them? I work in the tire industry and nothing makes a tire dealer madder that bringing in your tires that you bought cheap on the internet and have them mount them. Yea the final cost may be a few bucks higher but I just can't put import tires on my 2n and drive it in the parade when I can buy US stuff from a local dealer. Just my preference

Did you get the Farm King tires? Do you know anything about these? I cannot find anything on a google search.

I don't know about farm King. I got the 11.2 by 28 six-ply "Thornless" tires. They came on the rims, delivered for just under 500 bucks. I have been using them for 6 months or so, and have had no problems at all. I will look in the morning and see if they say "FARM KING" on them anywhere. I would be willing to bet anything you buy from Tucker would be a qualiity product. I would buy from them again in a heartbeat. Incidently, you don't have to buy from their e-bay listing. Look up their web site, and give them a call, for me the pricce was the same as the e-bay listing. Good luck, hope I helped a little, and I'll post back in the morning with what I find when I go out to feed my pet pig (long story)-----Rob

If I were you and I was curious as to what I got, give em' a call and ask them to confirm that you got what you ordered. Below is their website that has their phone number. The way I see it is, these guys are either selling these tires wholesale somehow or another, or they truly are some third rate knock off no name brand that probably dosen't have the big name and the big price of Firestone, and Goodyear. It really makes no difference to me. So what if the tires last 10 years instead of 20, heck if they only last for 5 years I'll feel like I got my moneys worth. Well, maybe not 5, 'cause they were a real pain in the "rear" to get the old rims unbolted from the centers :)
Good luck, I hope I helped you a little. Here's the website, and I'll post back with what I find in the morning. ----Rob

I only question because you can get Firestone or Titan tires locally for $150 a piece, and I have seen six loop rims for $75. This comes to $450 for well known name brand tires (of course there would be a mounting charge added to this). I would think if they were a high volume dealer they could sell well known name brand tires with six loop rims for $500 and still make a decent profit. From the support I have seen here, I am sure they are very reputable and good business people with good customer service, I have just never heard of Farm King tires and nowhere on the sides of the tires does it give how many Ply the tire is - I thought this was a legal requirement... I figured if I just called them up - they would tell me what they thought I wanted to hear - just like any other business does nowdays. Anywho, I was hoping for some feedback from customers that got this tire to quelch my concerns. I guess I'll give them a call this morning.

Thanks,
Dan

WE ran out of the Cambridge 8 ply thanks to you guys buying and telling others so I sent ten ply in the tires made in India. You have to look close but there is a small box with 10pr on the tire. I have sold these tires for sometime with no problems. Best wishes and many thanks jimdalton 800 443 0802
