DK..... .....generatorly speaking, NO, your HOT generator should have NO effect on your 48 8N sparkies. This doesn't mean that you don't have sparkie problems also.

BUT as a general rule, your generator should be noticeablely warm to touch but NOT burnie-burnie HOT. If'n its burnie-burnie HOT, then you've got voltage regulator problems. Take your generator and voltage regulator in to an automotive electrical shop for a test..... .....Dell
