Hi All. I am not very familiar with the old ford tractors so thought I would come to the ford guys for some advice. I saw a 53 Jubilee at the equipment dealer where I do some business. The fenders, hood, etc. are perfect except for needing paint. The tractor is solid mechanically. Overall it is in very good condition. The only problem is the dealer is asking 3200 for it. Looking for some ball park advice on what this tractor might be worth, so I can make an offer. Thanks for your input . Wayne Inzer.

All advice so far is good. Here's another item to chew on. For about the same money or maybe a little more you could maybe find a good "Hundred" series Ford that would be an even better tractor although lacking in "collector" value...whatever that is. Here's a site to help understand better the "post N series" Fords:

I have a Jubilee that I paid $4200 for about a year ago in central Iowa. If the one you are looking at checks out to what Waterboy suggested looking for, $3200 is a good price for what is a good tractor. You won't be sorry with a Jubilee.

Sounds close to market for a Jubilee. What about tire condition? Paint job will cost several hundred, anyway. Decide if that's the tractor you want, put a maximum value on it, based on your budget, and make the man a low-ball offer. Offer him $2400 or so and see where he goes. Maybe he'll split the difference and you get it for $2800? Make the offer and shut up. First one to speak loses. If he won't come down, it's decision time.

$3200.00 sounds about right here in Michigan. Did you Drive it/operate the Hyd.Lift/check the oil/is oil black. Any oil leaks under Engine,Tranny,Rear Wheel hubs? Brakes work? Jubilee a good tractor.

That price sounds about right for east central Indiana.
