Hoping for some help . . . I recently purchased a 1947 Ford 2N and am trying to fix it up. It is hard to tell from all the pictures I find . . . was the original color white or gray? Does anyone have a suggestion on where to find the correct paint?

Thanks,

KEN IN UPSTATE NEW YORK

I was happy with the color of my 45 2N. Its TISCO Vintage Ford Dark Grey. Combination rattle can and brush on. Good Luck. Dave

Hi Ken, that Smith site will be your ticket. Also the paint and bodywork forum here is a great resourse for paint code cross referances... By the way, is this the same Upstate New York Ken that was restoring a David Bradley walkbehind about a year ago. If so you might remember me as AdamPAudio...from yahoo...Let me know!!! If not, oh well....Hi, and welcome!!!

The original color for a 2N was a darker "battleship" gray. Tyler Neff has a great site with his N in the correct "restored" color. See the link below.
