I've been working on a wiring harness to put in the new 12V conversion kits New Holland is going to release this month. I put one on my '41, and the tractor got quieter. I guess the 12V coil and correct resistor made the difference. Anyhow, the one wire alternator comes on (using my $6.00 ammeter) at around 1/4 throttle, and charges within seconds of the tractor running. All nice 'under-hood' quality wire, no appliance stuff. My stealth generators will have to wait, I need garage space, so the 9N will be in Sunday's newspaper, and I won't have a test bed anymore..... . :^( Oh Well

Best to you all

How would a wiring harness/12v conversion make the tractor run quieter?

Regards,
Robert.
