I tried the New Holland grey and it has too much green or tan or something like that. I am leaving the sheet metal original except for the wheels. Is there a spray paint that is truer to the original gray (and is available)? If so where can I get it. Thanks to all.

I'm getting ready to paint my 51 8n. I bought paint from tractor supply company. It's BPS ford red and BPS ford grey. What are thoughts on this paint.

The NH old Ford Tractor gray is some what lighter than the original 52 gray but actually is better looking, it is really from 1958 up. The corresponding red is also 1958 up and is very orangish especially after a ywar or two. The NH numbers are 956 & 957.

Mine is a stock 8N with Factory paint. Even though it has been sheltered, the color might have changed some, but no way does the olive tinted NH Ford Medium Gray match at all. My 8N is no where near the darker battleship gray of the 2N/9N, it's a nice light dove gray. TTA

If that is the "olive" tint in the gray paint, I love that color. I hope that is it, because I need to get some touch up paint for the headlights, and I was hoping to get it from the dealer.

Rustoleum "Light Olive" is the closest rattle-can match I have found for the Ford gray. I bought some at Wal-Mart, but it is getting difficult to find.
