This is the Funk I was talking about. Jim and I just started it up this morning and checked out the Wagner WV 3 Loader, Sherman 3-speed, and Hydraulic Lift. It all works. No cancer just some surface rust and a couple of dings on the rear fenders. I was told the Ford Tractor Dealer built this by the original owner who we got it from. It has the cast iron oil pan instead of the side rails to hold the front axle. I beleive it is complete except the tube from the pancake carb top to the air cleaner on the side. Even has the cyclone jar and cleaner still on it. Not sure but I think the side air cleaner might have a Funk adapter since it has a PCV hose to the engine and a some what different looking pre/cleaner. The original hood has the screened grill but since it is mounted forward on the tractor it can't be used to hold the intake. Looked closer at the second gas tank and it is red and dose look like it is ment to be there. I had to date it by the pump and it said Sept 1951 by the code. Since it has Script Fenders and a Script Hood that probley is the right year. Dose not have the late 52 transmission. I think I will only wash it off and put a set of original rear tires and rims I have on the back. The ones on it are kind of strange? This is the first time I have had a dealings with a Funk and they are a interesting tractor! Mark H.

Funk sold an extra fuel tank that mounted under the hood adapter. It was either a 7 or 9 gallon tank (can't remember which), and it was painted red. It had rounded corners with a flange on two sides for mounting (front and back). It looks factory/professionally made. Those sixes burn a lot a fuel when your out in the field. Ten gallons didn't go too far.

Looks just like what you discribed and around 7 gallons in size too. Mounts between the original tank and the alum dash extender. Also red. Thanks, Mark H.

Interesting Mark. Have you had a chance to drive it much yet? How does it compare to a regular N? I've never driven a Funk before and it might be interesting playing with that much power in that small of a tractor.

Are you gonna paint it up and sell it or is it a keeper. Looks like it is in pretty decent shape.

Thanks!

You know me I am a hunter it will be sold the way it is. I like finding them. Since I live is a real dry area we luck out on cancer issues. I realy haven't had a chance to cruse around in it since I was having so much fun in the PW. Mark H.

Boy you have that correct! Eastern Washington has some of the nicest old iron that I've ever seen. I bought my 59 from a gentleman in Palouse, just west of the boarder.

I'd love to take a couple weeks and just follow the backroads up there and see what is hidden behind barns, etc.

Eric B. from the Power Wagon board stopped by here a couple of weeks ago. He said he and his girlfriend are planning to spend most of the summer just cruising around the west/northwest area looking for Power Wagons (and other goodies). He's got a really nice setup with his big Dodge and that 40' trailer. Should be able to bring back lots of toys.

Eric would clean use out! He is a big time hunter and has a big trailer too! This Funk came off a Farm where the owner had to move into town and had to sell everything and I gave him his asking price even tho he said he would take less. Mark H.
