After half hour or so my 2N just dies and will not start unless I let it sit for an hour or so. I installed a new carb and that did not help. I checked for spark after it dies and that is OK. I put in fuel additive just in case I had some water and that didn't help. I am about ready to plant flowers around it as a yard ornament. Any ideas will be greatly appreciated.
Dave

Dave,

Turn of the gas. Disconnect the fuel line at the elbow going into the carb. Now turn the fuel on again. You should have a steady stream of gas out of the line. If there is minimal flow, check the 2 filters in the shutoff valve. One just above the sediment bowl and one on top of the shutoff valve in the tank. The last one requires you drain the tank first and then take the shutoff valve off the tank. Also, take the elbow of the carb. There should be a filter there.

This was my problem, but it surfaced after about 5-10 minutes running.

HTH!
Danny

No. It can't be electrical here since he says he has a spark after it won't start. Unless the spark is weak that is. If it's a hot, blue spark, I would assume the plugs are also working ok since the tractor does run for awhile, hence, must be a fuel problem. I would also not discount the possibility of water in the gas tank. My $ .02
