Help!!! I am trying to help a cousin restore his Ford Jubilee Tractor. We need step plates for it, but the ones that are on it are special. The pattern of the metal is squares, not weave, and the one step plate has a small toolbox built into it - it flips up and has a small storage area under it. The plates are Appx. 24" 1/2 x 7". Any help on where to find new or used replacement parts would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Here is a pic of my repair. 1/4" top plate, using original surviving hinges and some misc. fastener hardware.
Bottom of tool box was made with thin plate, and some perferated metal ( not expanded metal ).. the perf metal is like 1/8 with round holes evenly spaced on it.. think pegboard...

Not elegant.. but functional... looks better painted..

Ok, here is the 'ghost' of my left running board as pictured at the purchase of my NAA ( same as your jubilee )

The right side step plate or running board, is essentially the same as the 8n. You could buy the running boards for an 8n as they will fit, but you will be without the tool box.

Many of us have had to repair or fabricate new boxes / running boards.

If you are a good welder, perhaps a set of 8n boards will give you the starting point to rebuild the left side box.

As others stated, you see them on ebay now and then.. but they are about as rare as hens teeth.. and working loop style ampmeters.

Some of the 8n sites that carry used parts get a set of 8n boards every now and then.

Reproductions are slated to come out 'some time' in the future from a fellow dennis carpenter, who makes reproduction parts.

I think I have a few pics of the original condition of my running board.. and my fix.

Unfortunately like you point out, the square stud pattern is hard to find, and is not like normal diamond plate pattern... I ended up using 1/4 plate and 3/16 plate to fix my box and fabricate a new lid..... doesn't look original.. but works... and I don't have to worry about falling thru.

I'll look for those pics.

You'll see one on Ebay from time to time.

those are correct for the Jubilee. If in usable condition you have some nice prizes. The left side step/tool box is much sought after and brings high prices.
