Would this part being really bad tend to make the tractor start to wobble going down the road in 4th gear??? Also does any one know the measurments of this bushing so I can have one made or cross ref. it to another bushing??? Thanks for helping in this rebuild

DC,
If everything in steering is tight (tie rods, steering box, drag links, etc.) take a good close look at the radius rods.
If you notice any play there, it is more than likely your problem. When axle comes rearward on one side (let's say left side for example) due to loose radius rod, the tie rod on that same side is going forward in relation to the radius rod - this causes the tire to steer left. When axle pivots back to the right side, it has opposite effect and tire steers to the right. Keep in mind that the tire on the other side of tractor is doing the same thing. Doesn't take long for the WOBBLE FROM SIDE TO SIDE to get started.
Cheap and easy fix is to remove the radius rod cap and put a penny behind the ball on the radius rod and tighten back down. (Got that from ZANE).
If you want to through some real money at it, use a ncikel!! (grin)

p.s. Just did this today to my Jubilee. Now I can run it wide open in 4th Over and don't have to worry about shaking my hat off my head, not that I run her wide open mind you, just trying out my steering fix.

DC..... ...since the kingpin only costs $20 and the bushing only $5, why mucka round getting one made?

There's alotta reasons frontend wheels wobble, from TOO MUCH SPEED, to loose bearings, loose draglinks, to loose steering gearbox sector shafts. Hard to say..... ....respectfully, Dell

Was just wondering Dell, I live in a place where I have to order bout everything and it takes about 5 days to get it. I am at a place where I can start putting everything back together on the tractor and thought that I could probably get one made in a day, thats all. The steering box seems tight doing the test in the FO-4 manuel and tie rods are tight so just thought this might be whats making it wobble

Make sure the rear of the radius rods do not move too much in the ball sockets, you can grind off the flat side of the cap some to snug up but do not make it too tight, check front wheel toe in also.

Could be the king pins but if everything looks tight, too much toe-out will make ya do a jig—and it doesn't really have to be that far out of spec.
