Ok, I'm getting ready for my first service on my NAA. After breezing over the fo-19 manual, I found the tranny oil cap on the tranny cover, the hydro oil cap on the lift cover, and the diff oil cap on the diff housing... manual says 8qts diff, 8qts, hydro, and 6qts tranny.

Ok, I know that the hydro level is checked by the dipstick in the right side inspection plate.

As for the tranny fill check.. I'm guess ing that it is checked by removing the plug on the right side ( about even with right brake pedal, and about 4" from bottom of casing... fill till it starts to dribble there right?

Ok.. I'm at a complete loss as how to check the level in the diff...

I know the hydro is the 134d new spec oil, diff I would guess at a gl-5 80w/90 gear oil... have no idea for trans.

Help me out guys... I've only had the NAA a month. If it were an 8N i'd be ok... new ground here.. I find something new about this NAA every day... especially now that I have finally gotten around to reading the whole manual.. and not just the parts that I was working on.

thanks for the help,

Soundguy

Maybe I missed the answer but the differential is checked at a plug near the left lift lower arm pin and toward the rear of the differential housing.

Sounder,
See my reply below on the thread for Lee.
And I need to add that the level check for tranny is the plug on LOWER right side to the REAR of tranny about 3" ahead of where the tranny bolts to the differential housing. DON'T remove the upper one towards the middle- that's the one that holds shifter rails in place!
hth,

Considering that the seals between the 3 chambers are not as good as they once were all 3 chambers will eventually act as one reservor so you would want to use the same fluid in all three so the 134 would be used in all three. Considering that 5 gallons would leave you 2 quarts short then fill the hydraulics, the trans and remainder in the rear. Unless the tractor is getting hard use I am inclined to run the rear on the low side to cut down on leaking axel seals however should the levels tend to become the same then a little low in each may be inorder.

Ok, with some help from others . i've got the hydro part covered.. fill is on top of lift cover, and level is checked by the dipstick in the inspection hole. uses the new 134d oil

Rear diff has the fill on left top diff housing, and check level is the plug on the left side at rear of the axle housing... oil is 80/90 gl-5 gear oil.. or the 134d oil i've been told.

Tranny fill is in the tranny top cover, and that is where I still need info from here... Oil I think can be the 134d .. and am still not completely sure of the check level.. am guessing it is the square head plug about 4" from the bottom of the casting, on the right side, about even with the right brake pedal...

Do I have all this right?

thanks a bundle guys!
