just been thinking, here on the threshold of the new century, about the poor old tractor owners of the larger part of the past century, how they mostly had to rely on the limits of their own knowlege and resorcefulness to keep those babies running. now, with internet technology and discussion forums like this one, anyone can find a wealth of information at their "finger tips" from people who "been there, done that". its a fabulous help to dumb butterheads like me who have a $#@^^%#$#&%&% problem/questioN every two minutes. thanx to all(past-present-future). and HAPPY NEW MILLENIUM!!!

What do you recon them old timers talked about while setting at the barber shop, general store, feed store, etc. Those of use who were raised in the rural areas have always known the importance of shared info. Them "cyber" folks have just made it much faster and easier. (But I miss the pot bellied stove and whittling)

That's true, the old timers usually knew how to fix most things and if they didn't they knew some-one who did, and most times would come and all work together until the problem was fixed, even if it was just hay-wired together.
