Loader, Maybe

I know Ns aren’t the best thing to put a loader on.
I hope to find a regular loader/backhoe some day.
But until then, here’s the deal.
The 8n I just got did had a loader on it.
That’s why the 8N came with the steel wheel weights.
The guy still has the loader and said he would take $190 for it.
It is a Ford WM3 with a hydraulic pump on it.
The pins on it aren’t worn badly. But it will need new hydraulic lines.
It has hydraulic dump.
It also still has the fenders on it, which I need. Fenders are in good shape. I figure it with cost a $100 or better to find some fenders with brackets.
Since I have three Ns I could put it on one of them and use it only when I need a loader. If/when I find a backhoe I could sell it or use the pump and cylinders for something else.
What do you guys think?
Can the parts to rebuild the pump and cylinders be found?
How much would it be worth once it is rebuild and painted?
I would had gotten it when I picked up the tractor but didn’t have the room on the trailer for it.

I never knew that the N's weren't the best choice for a loader and I went ahead and bought a 2N/loader package. I've been real happy with mine and I've been able to do a lot of things around the house that I would have never been able to do otherwise.

I would buy the loader in a minute. E-bay has them from $250~$800 depending on condition. A good paint job will get you a better price. The hyd. bucket you have on your type is REALLY nice. Mine also has this and I'll tell you there's no way I could be as adept at moving dirt without it. I am actually thinking about looking for a fork setup for the rig to take further advantage of the bucket.

So far as parts, I know there's a lot of chatter in the archives about valves and pumps. I don't remember anything about new cylinders but it must be there someplace. My cylinders are worn and the seals leak a bit and I too have thought about rebuild. If you stumble onto something please let me know. I have a Wagoner.

One thing I discovered is that it's not that difficult to take the loader on and off. This gives you the option to be more flexible.

If you do go with the rig, remember to
get the tires loaded up for counter-balance.

Good Luck
