Check the posts below about why Don b's posts got delected. Some seem to think it is something to do with advertising.

If that is all it is about Zane Sherman--one truly great American in my humble opinion--ought to be tared with the same brush. Lots of talk about Zane thangs and live thangs still left in the archives. So it is about something else.

Maybe the good folks that run this board would care to explain.

Your mileage may vary

I love this board, its knowledable, insightful, and even entertaining. The reason it has been so successful is because up untill recently it has been unbiased. I can log on and get opinions on practices, procedures, and parts relating to tractors and almost anything else. It seeem that the focus or mission of YT has changed from hosting the Best website for the free exchange of information to selling tractor parts.
If they want to be as successful in the parts business they should apply the same principles to it as they have to this web page. To try to eliminate possible competition will not make a business better, find out what the successful competition is doing and try to do it better.
Reputations and sucessful businesses aren't built overnight. Is this board still being suported by our voluntary subscriptions or their advertisers?
Mike

Sounds like Bill gates tactics to me. If you can't beat em buy them or deleat em. Speech is only free if you own the press. I know they are paying to support this site. I was thinking of a volentary contribution and starting to feel a little guilty, NOT ANYMORE. I don't know Don B but I will go find his site and check it out. I want to see what they are afraid of.

Thanks Don (not B)

At one time, Zane was providing $$ to sponsor this page. He also does not sell any parts that compete directly with the owner of this site. To find the answer to any question, follow the $$ trail.
