In another post you said you have generator pulleys. How much ? I need one for my 8n. It's alittle over 5/8", The shaft on the generator is threaded first, then keyed, then smooth.A new 5/8 won't slip on.

I have 'three brush' pulleys sitting around, wondering if I should throw them away, and thought the guy with the 'made in india' (honestly not a bad unit, i've modified them to 25-30 amps) generator would prefer something with a little character. I don't have any 8N pulleys, Frt or Side, but know where you can get them. send me an email, or check the other post. i don't know if your shaft is unusual. Send me an email tomorrow, and i'll measure some ford shafts and get back to you.

To clarify, I have an original generator with the adjustable third brush, and everything's been rebuilt....the guy just lost the original pulley that went with it. Great gen; crappy pulley. That's why i was looking for an original pulley. Jim....YOU DA MAN!
