Hello members,
Do I have to drain the trans fluid before pulling the axles to do the brakes on my 2N? Does anyone know of a good link or article on how to? I have the manual but would like more detail.
Thanks for the help.
Dave

I would drain it, otherwise you'll likely have oil running out the ends of at least one axle trumpet making a big 'ol mess.

Install a set of 'sure seals' in it before you put it back together to keep your new brake shoes clean.

If you plan to check or replace your wheel bearing, you will have a hard time pulling the hub and bearing off the axle shaft unless you have a BIG puller, I had to take mine to the dealer and have them do the bearing work.

The brakes aren't too difficult, probably the worst part is de-greasing everything.
