Wondering if brackets are original or aftermarket?

My 8N ford has 2 brackets located on the 3 point lift arms. They are pinned to the lift arms and when lowered rest on the rear axle. They stop the lift arms from completely lowering to the ground. Any cluse??? Will try to send picture.. Thanks craig..

Craig: They could possibly be for the side mounted mower. They were used to keep the mower raised in the transport position. I would be interested in buying them if that's what they are.

Someone had a picture of some brackets posted on one of the "help identify" areas a week or so ago. Someone else told him they were brackets that allowed one to set a brush hog at the peoper level and it would stay there without getting any lower. You could still raise it. Sounded reasonable.

Craig,

The Dearborn Sweep Rake had some brackets that attached to the lift arms. There were long flat steel rods that attached to them and to the Sweep Rake that attached to the front of the tractor. The rods allowed the operator to lift or lower the tines of the rake. Would like to see a picture, I think I can tell if they are for the Sweep Rake. My Uncle's 8N had them on it.

Regards,
Larry
