I want to thank everyone that helped me with replacing the shaft which has gone very smooth but now I have removing the eyelet bolt from the lower fork. I have been putting penetrating oil on it for several days and tapping it but to no luck. Seem very solid, before I put heat to it am I missing something? I want to get the fork off so I can paint eveything.

Once again thanks for the help.

I had to remove a lower lift arm for replacement and had to use propane torch / pb blaster for quite a few cycles before I got it loose.

I even had to use a nut splitter on an area where the nut was half gone...

I like to use heat and penetrant for stuck stuff. Try a little heat at first. Let it cool down. PB. Little more heat. Cool. Kroil. etc.... I find that cycling heat and cool really breaks up old seized stuff. I don't like to use a great deal of heat, sometime a propane torch, even though slower than an acetylene rig, is all that is needed. I'm no metallurgist, but I suppose too much heat might take the temper out of certain parts? Cautious heat, however, is the cure. ds
