What is the proper dash for a 1939 9N ? Is it supposed to be aluminum or some type of pot metal. Where should the starter button be located? Does anyone know where I can find one ?

I am a little foggy on the dipstick. Somewhere I think I read that 39 is not supposed to have one. It uses a pipe plug on the side of transmission case. My 39 ser #6427 has both???? has alum dash with no interlock has button on top part of dash. I think when they switched to the cast iron -steel dash they moved the dipstick to the side cover plate 1942?...Big Mike

The Dash on eBay is for a 40 to 41? as it has the starter button by the gearshift. 39 is on the dash on the left and is not interlocked with the trans....Big Mike

Doesn't the one on E Bay have the oil level dip stick on top of transmission? How long did Ford keep dip stick there?
