My tractor lacks power under use. It ran fine this fall before I parked it. Now it won't seem to clear out at high idle or no power while blading snow under heavy loads. I replaced the coil, cap, rotor, condensor, and points. No luck. Could it be the plugs? They are a season old. Any ideas would be great. I am selling it and would like have it running as good as it has for me for many years. Thanks for your help.

The carb is probably gummed up, especially the main metering jet. There are several other ports in there that can accumulate varnish when the thing is not run for several months. Dismantle and clean it well with GumOut or other carb cleaner and blow out all the holes with compressed air. Also check the manifold and exhaust system for mouse nests.

Rats and mice, what in the world? I have my 2N covered in the barn with a cat that will not even think of such a situation. Now the house is a different story (my wife won't allow the cat in the house, only mice), we had a mouse in the kitchen and it was the smartest little *^$^#&. The little ^^&%)*&_took three mouse traps and three gummy houses and two weeks to finially do him in.
