1947 2N. New Battery, ammeter, voltage regulator not a relay, for 6V. Have completely cleaned the ground and all connections. When battery is freshly charged she starts fine, My ammeter works fine and with the VR installed and third brush adjusted it seems to be charging properly. After about 2 weeks however the battery doesn't turn over hardly at all. I think the starter is week maybe drawing more than it should? What is my next move??

YOu could have bad battery cables, check for voltage drop across each. You could have a short somewhere like in the solenoid. Check for voltage between the neg cable end and the neg bat post with the cable removed from the post and everything shut off. There should be no voltage there then. Sometimes the cables look good but they are not electrically connected to the terminal end internally. I have seen that often.
