I bought a LP gas conversion today (E-bay). While I wait on it's arrival, does anyone know how to hook it up? Maybe have printed instructions? Although it is still in the box,I doubt it will come with instructions. Discription didn't mention any. Thanks.

Don, I can't help but I was wondering how you found this on ebay. I have tried all the searches I can think of without luck.

I found it in business & industrial > agriculture catagory. I,ve seen only 2 or 3 in the past month or so. Not real sure it will even work on my 8N. Just taking the word of the seller. Said 8N was written in pencil on the box. Got it for $32 including shipping, so not out much if it doesn't work. I have the ability to fill propane with my large tank. Since propane burns cleaner I'm hoping to lengthen the life of the engine. If I need the power I can run gasoline. At least thats my plan. It will be an interesting accessory anyway. Wish me luck!

A lot of the busses in the city of Akron now burn compressed natural gas, its almost a pleasure to follow one, no fumes no smoke, no smell, and I understand it costs less to operate. Downtown smells a lot better and I dont get a headache from following one of these clean burning machines.

Don, Good luck on trying propane, I've seen it on many pieces of equipment and they all seem to run well. Less noxious fumes, quieter, longer engine life ect. The only down side I've heard of is slightly less power. Let us know how it works out.Allen (;^)
