I would like to check the hydraulic pressure of the vane pump that was recently rebuilt.
I cannot lift over 50 lbs and suspect pump may be cause.
I have a manifold plate on top that has the letters NAA-478-B on it.
It has 2 outlets in it.
Can I somehow check pump pressure using one of these ports?
I was thinking of removing the lift cover and tapping threads in the pressure hole on the right side of the case edge but there must be another way.
Will someone please help with information?
Jim

Jim,
If you look directly down from the valve plate on the top cover, you will see a large cap nut. Below this is a pipe plug that requires a allen wrench to remove it. This is where you will need to install your hydraulic pressure meter. After doing so, chain your lift arms down, start tractor and raise the control level to the highest position. With a pistion type pump, I can obtain 3000# psi before the bypass valve takes over.
Hope this helps,
John

If anyone has any ideas I could send them a picture by Email. I have a picture on my computer of this manifold assembled to tractor.
I just don't know how to post a picture here.
