Tyler,
What time does the show start tomorrow? (Sunday)
I might just take a ride over and see what that 9N of yours looks like up close.
Gotta tell you this... I showed the wife your post with the trailer on your pickup...She said "WHERE'S ALL THE RED?!!"
She can spot a 8N 1/4 mile away, but them "grey" tractors have her a bit confused. EDDIE8N

Well,

I'm at home now with tractor. I was there Friday afternoon and all day yesterday. Rained for the last several hours yesterday and calling for rain today. Since it's a 2 hr ride to get to the show and back, I decided to bring her home yesterday evening. What a mess.

I'll be at the Smithsburg, MD show next weekend. Maybe I'll see ya there.

They come off of a later ford. the set I have on my 2n came off a 850. they bolt right on. It is the biggest improvment on that tractor.

If you look at the angle of the lever that opperates the clutch you will see why regular 8N running boards don't work. If you heat and bend that lever back towards the case the rod will now clear the running board. This was how it was done on my 2N so regular running boards could be used. The clutch worked just fine and the running boards then looked stock and bolt right up. Mark H.

Looks like the running boards and brakets on my 860 never put a tape to them but I wonder if they would bolt right on to the 9-2Ns? Dave.

I have the exact same running boards on my 41 9n, I don't know where they came from as they were on the tractor when I bought it. I did not know 9Ns did not have them until I found this board. I have used the tractor for hogging, grading and other uses for two years now with no problems. They seem like factory units and function well.

it looks good but it seems like you would be stepping on it often and bending it.

Ones foot tends to go to the outer half of the running board for the most part. Figured this out by painting the same spots for the last 5 winters.
JMHO.

That's what I thought but I guess it lays in the the channel enough that it must not get in the way. Haven't talked to the owner yet. Hope to chat with him/her tomorrow.
