This is a inside view of what is under the Seat on a 9N or 2N top Plate Hydraulic Piston and controls. This model is not as hard to work on as the 8N with Draft Control. There are a lot less parts to remove. The control arm that goes to the Pump Valve (closest part of the picture)has two holes in it to hold the ends of the Valve. This is what you need to spread to release the valve befor droping the pump. They go on the T-Valve type. The 8N just sticks in to a hole in ther Valve and comes right out when you drop the pump. You can see how the Spring when over/loaded can pull the control arm to release the pump pressure. Mark H.
