I just rebuilt my carb on my Jubilee. Things looked pretty good and the rebuild went fairly well. When I put the carb back on and fired it up the motor raced up and stayed there. The throttle didn't make any difference. What Did I do Wrong?
I have never liked working on Carbs. So I get Frustrated very easily.

What should I do First?

Thanks
J52J/Jess

YOu could have the linkage rods misconnected to the carb. Disconnect both of them and see if you can regulate speed manually. Disconnecting the rods will take the governor out of the system. The idle has 2 screws one is the idle speed stop, the other is an air bleed to alter mixture. The big screw is the main jet adjustment for high speed and load mixture requirements. The Idle air screw is about 1 turn out the Load screw is about 2 turns out tostart with.

Sounds like you have the idle screw set too high. Back it off a few turns and see if that helps
