A local man here had his 9N on a grade w/ a round bail on the back, he got off the tractor & was doing something in front of it. The tractor rolled over him & crushed him. I guess he's still alive, they had to life flight him to a major hospital. this happened monday ,can't ever be too cautious!

The one weak point with the N's is the lack of a real parking brake, other than the little pawls. Simetimes its too tempting to just jump off and hope the tractor doesn't roll. This should be a warning to all of us to be more careful, chock the wheels or even shut off the engine. After all, N's are easy to start.

Hope he recovers OK.

Jon

It was a friends uncle. I heard he is going to make it ok. Broken pelvis & rib/s.IT's going to be a while with the recovery with the pelvis. The doctor said he's lucky. The guy was off the tractor it started to roll & would have went in the road,he tried to hop on & stop it.The rear tire caught his foot & he went right under.
