I have looked at the archives for quite a while. I'll bet the answer is there but I cannot find it. I am just getting started with the repairs to the 9n I bought a month ago and it has been a lot of fun. It does seem though that as soon as I fix one thing I find another that could be improved as well. The lift leaked down rapidly and didn't lift all the way so I replaced the control valve and cleaned out all the goop and added new fluid (fixed a couple leaks as well). Now the lift goes all the way up and stays there for quite a while but the touch control is really sensitive. When I go to lower the mower it seems to not move until the touch control is half to 2/3rds down and then it comes down all at once. Any ideas? THANKS!!

Bill is right - that means your three point hitch is working well.

The answer is (as Bill put it) position control. Zane Sherman makes a bolt-on device that will take carte of that. I have one on my 2N and am very satisfied. Especially when I have to plow snow and I can set the height of the blade right where I want it.

You don't have position control on a 2N. Get a Zane thang and you will. 2Ns are just up or down, no real in between with out the "Thang"

Good luck
