My (12 volt converted) Jubilee is not getting any spark to the spark plugs. I am getting juice to the distributer but not on to the plugs. Starter works fine. My points and condensor only have a few hours on them. Could this possibly be a problem with a short (bad wire/connection) on the negative side? Where/How do I start to track down the problem? Thanks in advance.

Had same problem on my 600 series. Was using the tractor and it just quit running as if it ran out of gas. Replaced the points and she fired right up!

I had a problem similar to this and found out the new points were shorted. I replaced the points and condenser just to be sure and it cleared up my problem.

Check the insulator on the primary terminal that comes into the side of the distibutor base. You'll have to remove the breaker plate to see it.

you say you have juice to the distributer, do you have spark at the points, do you have spark at coil, are the contacts where the rotor hits clean.
