If you haven't searched for "Ford 9N" on Ebay lately, look at page 2 of the results of that search. There is a supposedly 1939 9N for sale with side distributor. After looking at the pictures you can see the distributor is on the LEFT side of the engine, not on the right. So, it can't be an engine from a late 8N. What's the deal??!! The rest of the tractor looks very original. Correct paint colors, and so forth. What's everyone's take?

This really not that unusual. this is obviously the creation of someone that had a 8N Ford and a Farmall all torn apart out in the tall grass next to a Ford Falcon all torn apart. I bet there is another hybrid under Farmall on Ebay if the good ol boy from NC got both of them together. There is a lesson here for all of us shade tree tractor mechanics

Very Interesting!

I took the pic into Photoshop and enlarged it.
Somehow...That is a front mount coil and cap set up high left and pitched up from the bottom.
I would sure like to get a look at what is driving that rotor!
