The lift with 450+ lbs on it comes up nice but when you shut the tractor off it will real slowly drop. With 150 lbs on it no drop noticed. With weight is a better test. After 36 hours plus with just the bars no movement. Mark H.

That sounds pretty good. My 850 will keep my box blade (probably 400 lbs) in the air for at least 20 minutes. That's the longest I've dared leave it unattended. I don't have an indoor place to lock it away and the neighbors have small children. I don't think they'd mess with my tractor, they're good kids, but I just don't dare find out the hard way. I remember the story related on this board some months back about the farmer who shut his tractor off when his son and grandkids showed up for a visit. Box blade was left in the air. After several minutes of visiting, the grandkids got bored and went out to play. They eventually gravitated to Grandpa's tractor and started playing "farmer". One kid was under the box blade when another kid pushed the control lever. Poor kid never had a chance. By the time the adults were alerted, the tractor restarted and the box blade lifted the boy was dead. Not a scene I want played out at my house.

Maybe one of these nights I'll commandeer the garage and park Lumpy in there with the box blade in the air.

My Ferguson will keep 300 lb blade up over night I did it once and it took aroud 30 hours to come all the way down to the ground. You don't see to many that stay up over night but heck as long as it lifts the weight and works while running who cares, and it gets the job done. I like testing things to see. My lift on the Ferguson will lift my front end off the ground and with the 200lb counter weight at around 1,200 lbs it just won't lift. Still makes the front end light with the extra weight too on a heavy lift like another tractor front end being lifted up to move rolling on the rear wheels going up a small hill. That's how I get them in my shop when they don't run using my Boom on the rear. Mark H.

With the box blade, my lift stays up for over 4 hours, but not over night. I didn't bother to stay up long enough to watch it fall :-))
