My 8n has a threaded plug in the intake manifold just above the carburetor. Very handy if necessary to give it a shot of ether on a very cold day. Also a very handy place to hook up my manifold vacuum guage to do some diagnostics. Does any one know the thread specs for the plug?

Should be 1/2 inch NC. It was put there originally to run old type milking machines in an emergency . It was quite common to see a milker stallcock stuck in the intake manifold of an old tractor back in the 50's---Bill
