Monday starts buck season here , which reminds me of an incident from a few years back.

One of my neighbors, who often leaves his John Deere B in the field with a coffee can over the stack, came out one morning after the first day of buck hunting to find a bullet hole through the grille and radiator.

I figure one of the city folk saw that "running deere" emblem in his scope and was overcome by "buck fever". Probably would have dragged the thing to the butcher but I doubt his SUV could muster enough power to drag it!

Anyway, Henry Ford must have seen this coming...The N's have enough blaze orange (dearborn red) on em to avoid being shot at, and the old gray 9N/2N color blends in well with the rocks and trees - camoflage!

Yup, Henry's genius continues to reveal itself and amaze us even today! Good luck to all the hunters, and be sure you know what you're shooting at....That John Deere B would look pretty silly hanging above your fireplace.

Mark , don't be to sure about your N not being shot, some ( fools )hunter's shoot first and then see what they hit whether it be red , blue , pink , orange or any other shade. Be careful, and good luck.

Daddy told me his hunting license back in the twenties said, "Shoot all the vermin you can."

Mark, your right, time to hide in a bunker. Luckily, I hunt so far back that I don't see anyone. The walk is a little far and the drag "really"far. I cheat and use a cart. Piece of mind is much higher on my list. If you are out there, good luck. Looks as if its going to get warm again for a few days. To bad more, city folk.
