Been trying to get my 53 Jubilee running and all of the specs I have read says the firing order is 1-2-4-3. Well, new wires and all still wont run. So, a mechanic friend comes over tonight and changes the Plug wires to 1-3-4-2 and it fires right up and runs. Someone tell me why, please.
AS you can tell, still a lot to learn, but thanks for your help, now on to the Hydraulics and find out why they wont lift???

1-2-4-3 CCW looks a whole lot like 1-3-4-2 CW. Perhaps you were expecting it to spin one way and it spins the other?

Don, It sounds like someone has reset the distributor and has it off 90 or 180 degrees. Some of these fords are real picky on timing. Thats just my .02 worth. John
