Jerry..... ...my Boeing Designers Manual specs: 7/16 NF Brass nuts 27 ft/lbs as used on the exhaust manifold. Remember, they are 5/8 hexhead, I'd recommend you replace 'em with new, about 50c ea. You can even get them at Ford Automotive dealers parts besides your local Ford/New Holland tractor dealer. CAUTION: get 5/8 hex NOT 11/16 because there is not enough manifold clearance..... ..... Dell,

Are the torque settings in your Boeing manual standard for all bolts/studs/nuts/etc? Kind of compared to the "Machinery Handbook" in my trade?

Thanks,
Tyman

Jerry, the ford operators manual I'm looking at says 40-50 foot pounds. This sounds pretty heavy seens how they should be brass nuts. John
