The shaft that my lift arm is fastened to on the rear axle is loose and is slowly leaking fluid. Can it be tightened from the outside or will it have to be opened to tighten. Also the Hall headlights on my tractor have HALL II stamped on the side and have a snap ring retainer to hold a sealed beam bulb inside. Anyone seen such an animal before? "With the snap ring"?

Tim..... .....don't know about your lights.

BUT unfortunately, the only "cure" for leaking lower lift arm pins is to pull the axle trumpet. The lower link pin is held on by a 150 ft/lbs torqued castelated and cotterkeyed NUT and is accessable only by R&R.

Most remove just the left trumpet because they can remove the diffy gear and reach thru and do the right pin at the same time. I neglected to check the tightness of the trumpet attach studs (torque 50 ft/lbs) and still have a slight leak..... ....Dell
